Come enjoy our celebration of Earth Day this Sunday!

Bring your friends, neighbors and family for a visit to Cincinnati Nature Center’s beautiful Rowe Woods location!  Come hike a trail, feed fish and turtles at Powel Crosley Lake or participate in one of the many fun and exciting programs we are offering throughout the weekend. Our grounds are open from 8 am until 8 pm, and we are eager to host you for a wonderful weekend.

Meet the Artist: Jaime Iliff

10-4 pm

Local potter, Jaime Iliff will be throwing clay in front of the Rowe Visitor Center to Celebrate Earth Day Weekend! Watch him as he masterfully combines Ohio Valley River clay, the ashes of rose petals and remnants of old whiskey bottles to create his unique stoneware.

Native Plant Sale

10 am-5 pm

Spring is a great time to venture out in your garden and plant some native flowers, shrubs and trees. Come to our Rowe Woods Visitor Center for some great purchases and spruce up your yard.

Backyard Habitat Station

10:30 am-4 pm

Join us for an informal, drop-in experience. Come anytime between 10:30 am and 4 pm to learn how to create your own Backyard Habitat. Free with admission.

Fossil Trailside Station

12-1 pm

Drop in anytime between noon and 1 pm and experience our trailside station on fossils. Free with admission.

DIY Grow Your Own Native Wildflowers from Seed

12-4 pm

Experience the joy of growing your own native wildflowers to enhance your yard for pollinators and other wildlife. Drop in anytime between 10 am and 3 pm. Choose from 12+ species of wildflowers, fill a pot with soil, add seeds, label it and head home with inspiration and instruction sheets. Conversations on Conservation: Basic Bugs 101 with Kristie Reddick from the Bug Chicks

In her informative and very entertaining way, entomologist Kristie Reddick from the Bug Chicks will help shed light on why and how we can embrace the diversity, uniqueness and intrinsic beauty of the insects which call our yards and gardens their home.
