Green spaces all over the city have been used over the past year to give students (and teachers!) a boost to their emotional well-being, a change of scenery, and fresh air. Join us for a two-day workshop for school teachers focused on how to use the resources you have while forming ideas for what you want. Workshop is most appropriate for teachers grades 2-5. Other grade levels and any subject areas welcome.
Registration covers two-day workshop:
June 16 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm: Hands-on workshop at Cincinnati Nature Center (Rowe Woods) with keynote presentation by Michelle H. Martin, Beverly Cleary Endowed Professor, author, and co-founder of Read-O-Rama.
June 17 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm: Tour Cincinnati-area schoolyards in urban and suburban settings to gather ideas for your outdoor teaching spaces. (BYO Transportation, or carpool with other teachers!)

One of the most famous and beloved naturalists of our time, Jane Goodall, challenges us to consider the relationship between hope and action, and give us four reasons to remain hopeful even when we feel overwhelmed with bad news. CNC member and volunteer facilitator Jen Goldschneider will create space for participants to process what they read and discuss what it means to them going forward.
This discussion group meets on five consecutive Tuesday mornings from 10 – 11:30 am, in person at Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods location.
This group will be facilitated by Cincinnati Nature Center member Jennifer Goldschneider. You will need to find a copy of the book: The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times by Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams. To participate, contact Connie at coconnor@cincynature.org. Space is limited to 12 people; contact Connie quickly to save your spot.
Member adult free; nonmembers pay daily admission ($10) at the gate for each date.
