Share your love of Cincinnati Nature Center! Bring your friends, neighbors and family for a visit to Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods on September 25 and 26 for FREE! Come hike a trail, feed fish and turtles at Powel Crosley Lake, or participate in one of the many fun and exciting programs we are offering throughout the weekend. See our Things to Do webpage for additional details on program offerings.
The Next in Nature teen group at the Nature Center will host the 3rd annual Youth Conservation Summit. The online summit is a great way for youth ages 13 – 18 to get involved in conservation, learn important planning and presentation skills, and connect with other like-minded teens devoted to making a difference. Happy New Year!
Green spaces all over the city have been used over the past year to give students (and teachers!) a boost to their emotional well-being, a change of scenery, and fresh air. Join us for a two-day workshop for school teachers focused on how to use the resources you have while forming ideas for what you want. Workshop is most appropriate for teachers grades 2-5. Other grade levels and any subject areas welcome.
Registration covers two-day workshop:
June 16 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm: Hands-on workshop at Cincinnati Nature Center (Rowe Woods) with keynote presentation by Michelle H. Martin, Beverly Cleary Endowed Professor, author, and co-founder of Read-O-Rama.
June 17 from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm: Tour Cincinnati-area schoolyards in urban and suburban settings to gather ideas for your outdoor teaching spaces. (BYO Transportation, or carpool with other teachers!)
