Tri-State Hiking Club: Meetup @ Cincinnati Nature Center, Rowe Woods

Stay fit and have fun with these conditioning hikes for adults. These hikes are for those who desire six to seven miles of brisk-paced hiking with hills, steps, and streams. We will hike in small groups with varying speeds. Our goal is to keep moving and provide everyone with a good workout. Participants should be stretched and ready to go. You must RSVP for this hike through www.meetup.com, and we ask that you update your RSVP if your plans change. We may have to cancel this hike due to weather, so always be sure to check your email before you head out. Cincinnati Nature Center members are free; non-members pay daily admission.

This December, experience Cincinnati Nature Center in a whole new light—Light in the Forest!

Nature Center trails will sparkle with gentle lights reflecting a theme of peace, tranquility, and inspiration featuring the forest as a canvas for an artistic display of light. The softly illuminated trees and paths will include three installations by OBLSK, a lighting design company featured in Cincinnati’s popular BLINK event. Throughout the walking tour, you will enjoy music, bonfires, holiday shopping, and the historic Krippendorf Lodge and Abner Hollow Cabin adorned in period decorations!

Light in the Forest is a new winter tradition offered at Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods location. To promote safety, preregistration is required and tickets are limited. The event runs from 5-9 pm, but reservations are made for a timed arrival. Please reserve your spot for your arrival time at 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm, 6:30 pm, 7 pm, 7:30 pm, or 8 pm.

Member Adult $10, Member Child $5; Nonmember Adult $12, Nonmember Child $7.

Be part of a team that counts every bird seen, so the more eyes, the better! No experience necessary, just dress to be outdoors for an extended period of time. Preregistration is required. Free to all registered participants.
