Native Plant Sale at the Nature Shop @ Nature Shop at Cincinnati Nature Center

The nurseries at Cincinnati Nature Center, Someday Farms, Grant’s Farm and Garden, and Keystone Nursery will have the best native plants for sale at Rowe Woods Visitor Center. Gather herbs, native plants, flowering trees and shrubs during our annual Native Plant Sale to create a bright and beautiful garden while providing a wonderful habitat for bees, butterflies and birds.

Our Nature Shop is open daily from 10 am-5 pm.  Sale runs from April 19 through June 2. Plants will continually be restocked.

Mycelium, the fuzzy, cobweb-like growths of fungi, travel long distances and help nourish other members of the ecological community. Join in the cycle by inoculating your own beech log with blue oyster mushroom spawn.

Brett Harper will be providing a visual presentation and book signing for Cincinnati Nature Center’s historic book, Fascinating Lives and Landscapes: The History Behind Cincinnati Nature CenterThis book vividly recounts the stories of the three properties—the Krippendorf Property, Long Branch Farm, and the Groesbeck Estate—which make up today’s Cincinnati Nature Center. Brett Harper’s captivating narration brings historical details and memories from descendants to life with more than one hundred rare and previously unpublished photographs. From pioneer days to modern times, the history of each property eventually intersects to establish one of America’s preeminent nature centers.

Join us for this wonderful lecture and book signing in the auditorium of Rowe Woods Visitor Center. Free for members; nonmembers pay admission at the gate.
